And It Was Widowers' Night

Commission of a D&D Party on an average night out. Looking for a place to meet up in a city ruled by a tyrant, our party ended up at the Right Battle-axe on what turned out to be widowers' night. Things got out of hand when a waterskin full of fog was opened, and the entire place clouded up. The party snuck out without being too badly admonished.

The party consists of:
Ezra
Tiefling wizard who was booted from his last adventuring party because of the injury that led to him requiring a wheelchair. Said party used an airship to get around, and it wasn't wheelchair friendly, the jerks. He is a widower himself with a daughter back home who is eager for a new parent.

Commander Valorné
Human paladin/warlock serving in the military that holds a tyrannical grip on the whole region. She was essentially enlisted against her will when she was denied taking her paladin oath and forced into a warlock's pact with a devil, but she made the most of it for ten years. Now, after meeting the rest of the party, she wants out.

Theryn
Gnome barbarian who doesn't act like he's been adventuring for a good century now. He still delights in meeting new people and seeing new places and swinging his axes at everything that challenges him. He's had a long lost magical locket in his pocket for a few decades now, and he's hoping to find its owner someday.

Granny Goodberry
Dragonborn druid who settled down after an early adulthood of adventuring and opened up an orphanage with her partner. After her partner passed away, Granny decided to go back out into the world, find all the kids who'd grown up in the orphanage who haven't been writing her, and give them a stern talking to. And a scarf. She's always knitting because she helped raise hundreds of orphans, and they all need scarves when it's cold.
